Abu Dhabi Festival Honours Sir Ian Stoutzker CBE 

for Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Music and Culture

The Abu Dhabi Festival, presented by Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), hosted a special ceremony in London, where the prestigious Abu Dhabi Festival Award was presented to Sir Ian Stoutzker CBE. This ceremony took place on 6 October, recognising Sir Ian’s exceptional life achievements and remarkable contributions to the world of music and culture.

Over the years, he has been instrumental in nurturing musical talent and enhancing cultural experiences through his involvement in numerous initiatives and organisations. His dedication and tireless efforts have left a significant mark on the world.

The Abu Dhabi Festival Award is presented annually in partnership with Chopard to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding lifetime contributions to the arts and culture. This prestigious accolade serves as a testament to their enduring impact on the world of creativity and the advancement of culture.

The award ceremony was graced by the presence of Founder of Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation and Founder and Artistic Director of Abu Dhabi Festival, H.E Huda Alkhamis Kanoo and Sheikh Khaled Al Qassimi, Deputy Head of Mission of the UAE Embassy in the UK, who presented this accolade on Sir Ian Stoutzker CBE.

Abu Dhabi Festival presents its award to an exceptional individual who has made a significant impact on the renaissance of music and the arts in the world, Sir Ian Stoutzker. Sir Ian, a pioneering entrepreneur and arts enthusiast, co-founded the renowned Live Music Now in the United Kingdom with Yehudi Menuhin. He has generously supported the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Royal Academy of Music, and many others. Throughout two decades, he has dedicated himself faithfully to the work of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.

Sir Stoutzker, a recipient of the Order of the British Empire, has devoted his life to supporting music, sustaining the creative community, nurturing the skills of young musicians, and today, we award him the festival’s award in recognition of his contributions and commitments in the fields of music, arts, and humanitarian work.
